This document forms part of the terms on which KETTLEBRIDGE APPLIANCE CARE LTD (trading as Kettlebridge Appliance Care) provides its services. It should be read together with our terms and conditions, privacy policy and statutory rights notice.

This privacy policy explains how KETTLEBRIDGE APPLIANCE CARE LTD (trading as Kettlebridge Appliance Care) collects, uses and protects your personal data. We are the data controller and we comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal data we collect
- Identity and contact details (name, address, email, phone).
- Appliance and property information you provide when booking a repair or care plan.
- Booking, repair and payment history, including engineer visit notes.
- Payment metadata processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card details.
- Website usage data via strictly necessary cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies.
How we use your data and our lawful bases
- Contract — to provide the repairs, care plans and customer portal you have purchased.
- Legitimate interests — to run and improve our service, prevent fraud and keep records.
- Legal obligation — to comply with UK tax, accounting and consumer-protection law.
- Consent — for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing your data
We share personal data only with processors acting on our instructions (for example our hosting, payments, Direct Debit and email providers) and with self-employed engineers who attend your appointment. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep booking, plan and financial records for 7 years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations. Marketing preferences are kept until you opt out. Website analytics are retained for up to 26 months. Anything else is deleted when it is no longer needed.
International transfers
Where our processors are outside the UK, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and to object. See data subject rights for how to exercise them. We respond within one calendar month.
