Appliance care plan terms

This document forms part of the terms on which KETTLEBRIDGE APPLIANCE CARE LTD (trading as Kettlebridge Appliance Care) provides its services. It should be read together with our terms and conditions, privacy policy and statutory rights notice.

These terms apply to Appliance Care Plans provided by KETTLEBRIDGE APPLIANCE CARE LTD (trading as Kettlebridge Appliance Care). Care Plans are optional service and maintenance plans; they are not insurance products and are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. They are supplied under a contract for services with us.

1. What is included

  • Unlimited repair call-outs for the covered appliance during the plan term, subject to the fair-use provisions below.
  • Labour and parts required to restore the appliance to safe working order.
  • Annual health-check on request (Plans C and D).
  • UK-based support and online tracking through your customer portal.

2. Fair use

Where the total cost of repairs in any 12-month period would exceed the current retail price of an equivalent replacement appliance, we may instead offer a like-for-like replacement or a contribution to a replacement of your choosing.

3. Exclusions

  • Cosmetic damage and normal wear-and-tear consumables (e.g. filters, seals, belts) unless expressly listed as included.
  • Damage caused by misuse, accident, pests, foreign objects, floods, fire or power surge.
  • Appliances used in commercial premises or for commercial purposes.
  • Appliances that are more than 10 years old at the plan start date, unless we have expressly agreed cover in writing.
  • Loss of contents (e.g. food loss).

4. Payment, term and renewal

Care Plans are billed monthly by Direct Debit or annually in advance. Monthly plans run for a minimum initial term of 12 months and continue on a rolling monthly basis after that. Annual plans automatically renew unless you tell us not to renew at least 14 days before the renewal date. We will remind you before renewal and, if the price is changing, will tell you the new price at that time.

5. Direct Debit

Direct Debits are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. If a payment fails, we will contact you before suspending cover. Cover is suspended after two consecutive missed payments and repairs are chargeable during any suspension.

6. Cancellation and cooling-off

You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the plan start date. If you asked us to start providing services (for example an initial repair) during that period, we may deduct a fair charge for services provided when we refund you. See our cancellation policy and refund policy.

After the cooling-off period you may cancel a monthly plan at any time by giving 30 days' notice; annual plans may be cancelled with a pro-rata refund less the value of any services already used.

7. Access and safety

You must give us safe access to the appliance for scheduled and unscheduled work. Please read our engineer safety policy.

8. Statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
