Step-by-step checks
- Wipe the surface dry. Any moisture across the sensors can lock the panel.
- Isolate power for 60 seconds. A soft reset clears most brand controller glitches.
- Check child-lock indicator. Some models display a small padlock icon — hold the lock button to release.
Safety notes
- If the hob remains on and unresponsive, isolate at the fuse box immediately.
- Cracked induction glass: don't cook — the induction coils sit directly beneath.
